Kristin Heckler’s first job was opening her own business in high school, Parties Maid Easy in Bucks County, PA. It was a small party helper business but was locally successful and laid important ground work for her entrepreneurial spirit. She attended Duke University and studied Women’s Studies and Spanish but ultimately decided to be a theatre director. After graduating, Kristin found that to pursue directing was to pursue producing as well and she began producing her own work with her theatre company, Recognize Theatre. In 2013, Kristin was accepted to The New School for an MFA in Theatre Directing which brought Kristin and Ashley to the Big Apple. Soon after moving, Ashley proposed the idea of a Flower Truck which Kristin thought was brilliant. After years of producing plays and property management (to pay the bills), Kristin was equipped to track the financial end of a new business, help with fundraising and budgeting. She has completed her MFA in Theatre Directing and continues to self produce theatre while acting as “CFO” (Chief Flower Officer) for Uprooted Flower Truck.
